Panguni Uthiram Festival 2025 in Singapore is all set for the bang.....!!

 


The Holy Tree Sri Balasubramaniar Temple, located in Yishun, Singapore, is a significant place of worship for devotees of Lord Murugan. It is renowned for its vibrant spiritual atmosphere and devotion-driven festivals, particularly the Panguni Uthiram procession, which draws many participants each year. The temple serves as the focal point of the festival, where devotees come together to fulfil vows and seek blessings. This sacred temple is deeply cherished by the community and plays a central role in the religious and cultural life of its followers.




Registration Process for Kavadi Bearers

To participate in the Panguni Uthiram Festival, Kavadi bearers must register at the Assembly Tent. Registration will require presenting a receipt of ticket purchase and a verification slip. Participants are required to assemble and dismantle their Kavadis at designated areas. Each Kavadi will be tagged by temple officials, and the tag must be retained until the Kavadi enters the temple.

Kavadi bearers must nominate a Singaporean adult (above 21 years old) as a representative who will be available on the event day for any emergency or clarifications. Tickets are non-transferable, and only the registered individual is allowed to carry the Kavadi.




Key Conditions to Follow:

  • AM Session: Entry for AM Kavadis starts at 10:00 PM on April 10, 2025, and must leave by 11:00 AM on April 11, 2025. Non-compliance will result in exclusion from the event.
  • PM Session: Entry for PM Kavadis starts at 12:00 PM and must leave the Assembly Tent by 6:00 PM, reaching the temple by 10:30 PM.
  • No Alcohol: Consumption or possession of alcohol is strictly prohibited within the procession and temple grounds.
  • Music Restrictions: Only traditional instruments like the Thavil, Dhol, and Khol are permitted. Western instruments or recorded music are not allowed.



Important Notes:

  • Kavadi bearers must ensure their accompanying participants also follow the event rules.
  • Parking is restricted in Yishun Industrial Park A, and alternative parking is available in Yishun Ave 8 (parking charges apply).
  • All participants must adhere to the event’s timings, and failure to do so may result in exclusion from the procession.

The Panguni Uthiram Organizing Committee reserves the right to cancel any bookings that do not comply with the event's terms and conditions.
