WORLD AQUATICS CHAMPIONSHIPS – SINGAPORE 2025

The 2025 World Aquatics Championships—often referred to as the "Aqua Olympics"—will be held in Singapore from 11 July to 3 August 2025. This marks the first time Southeast Asia hosts this prestigious event, bringing together over 2,500 athletes from more than 210 nations to compete across six aquatic disciplines:​

  • Swimming

  • Diving

  • Water Polo

  • Artistic Swimming

  • Open Water Swimming

  • High Diving ​

Competition Venues




The events will be held at several key locations across Singapore:​

  • World Aquatics Championships Arena: A temporary venue at Kallang, designated for swimming and artistic swimming events.

  • OCBC Aquatic Centre: Located within the Singapore Sports Hub, this venue will host diving and water polo competitions.

  • Sentosa Island: Palawan Beach will be the site for open water swimming, while Palawan Green will host high diving events. ​



📅 Event Schedule Highlights

  • Water Polo: 11–24 July

  • Open Water Swimming: 15–20 July

  • Artistic Swimming: 18–25 July

  • High Diving: 24–27 July

  • Diving: 26 July – 3 August

  • Swimming: 27 July – 3 August ​

The swimming segment will feature 42 events over eight days, with morning heats starting at 10:00 AM and evening finals at 7:00 PM (SGT).

Tickets & Access

Tickets for the championships went on general sale on 2 April 2025 through SISTIC, with prices ranging from S$10 to S$140. Each purchase is limited to six tickets.

Global Significance

Originally slated to be held in Kazan, Russia, the event was relocated to Singapore in February 2023 due to geopolitical considerations. This move underscores Singapore's growing prominence in hosting international sporting events.
