Sasvatam 2025: A Timeless Celebration of Classical Dance and Cultural Unity!


 



Sasvatam: A Vision Rooted in Eternity

“Sasvatam is derived from the Sanskrit word meaning eternity. We are committed to preserving the essence of pure classical dance and nurturing talent across all age groups — allowing them to shine globally.”

In her opening note, Mrs. Bavithra Sivayokam reflected on Sasvatam’s deeper purpose:

London, May 2025 — In a stunning celebration of classical dance and cultural unity, Sasvatam 2025 enchanted audiences at The Bhavan, London, with an unforgettable evening of tradition, artistry, and heartfelt community spirit. Organized by Sasvatam — a global platform dedicated to preserving and promoting classical dance — the event brought together distinguished guests, renowned performers, and passionate teachers from around the world.

Event Highlights



The evening began with an invocation by Shri Rupesh KC, followed by the auspicious lighting of the lamp by honoured dignitaries

  • Kalamandalam Barbara Vijayakumar, 
  • Smt. Navajyothi Yogharatnam, 
  • Smt. Sri Bavani, 
  • Smt. Jeyanthi Srikaragurugal. 
Their blessings set a deeply spiritual and inspiring tone for the event.



Guests were warmly welcomed by Mrs. Bavithra Sivayokam, co-founder of Sasvatam, who introduced the event’s purpose and vision. The evening’s host, Mrs. Saskiya Kishan, carried the audience gracefully through the programme with poise and clarity.


A Dazzling Display of Talent

The audience was treated to a magnificent line-up of classical performances, each delivered with passion, precision, and authenticity. In the second half, a special segment was dedicated to guest performers, introduced by Mrs. Saskiya Kishan:

Words of Gratitude and a Look Ahead


The evening concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks from Sasvatam founder Dr. Jeyanthy Yogharajah, expressing sincere gratitude to all participants, volunteers, and audience members.

As a grand finale, Sasvatam announced its next major event, set to take place in Colombo and Jaffna, Sri Lanka, in August 2025.






Co-founded by Natya Acharya Dr. Jeyanthy Yogharajah and Mrs. Bavithra Sivayokam, Sasvatam is more than an artistic platform — it is a movement. Every event contributes to charitable causes supporting underprivileged children in India and Sri Lanka. This year, a portion of the proceeds will fund the Arangetram of three students in Jaffna, Sri Lanka, scheduled for 9th August 2025 at the Indian Cultural Centre, Jaffna.




Sasvatam 2025 proved to be a powerful testament to the enduring beauty of classical art and the power of community. With hearts full of gratitude and eyes set on the future, Sasvatam continues its journey — eternal, inspiring, and ever-evolving.

 Our next event is on 6th August 2025 at Iccr, Indian council for cultural Relations, Colombo, Sri Lanka.
